Two of the best sophomores could be on the move.
 
Speculation has arisen that Valencia's Lonnie Jackson could be headed to Golden Valley of Santa Clarita and Campbell Hall's Austin McBroom is waiting to see who the school hires as its new coach.
 
Jackson averaged over 20 points per game and was the floor leader for Valencia.
 
McBroom was the catalyst for a Vikings team that lost in the second round of the playoffs to St. John Bosco of Bellflower.
 
McBroom was sensational at times after garnering Daily News Player of the Year honors in 2008 but his season was derailed with a hand injury in January.

Bell-Jeff of Burbank won the first girls basketball state championship in the history of the San Fernando Valley last Friday in a 55-47 victory against three-time state champion pinewood of Los Altos Hills.
 
The Guards finished 34-1, the most ever victories in school history and area history.
 
Bell-Jeff graduates Shelley Gupilan and Elizabeth Hawthorne but returns Margeaux Gupilan, Julia Tani, Rishonda Napier and Jasmine Smith.
 
Bell-Jeff will surely be a contender again.
 
J.J. Prince has been named coach at Viewpoint High in Calabasas.
 
Prince graduated from Montclair Prep in 1999 and has been an assistant at Campbell Hall and Crespi.
 
Monroe of North Hills and Newbury Park have openings for head coach.
 
The annual War on the Floor basketball tournament for boys and girls is scheduled for June 20-23. 16 teams have already signed up for the boys tournament including Sylmar, Taft, Pasadena, The Rock Academy and Lincoln High in San Diego. To enter call Bort Escoto at 818-601-8776.
